Founded in 2015 by partners John Coughlan and Jim Lynch, JJ’s is a craft brewing company with pedigree.

Both men have extensive experience in the industry. Coughlan has designed, installed and commissioned microbreweries around Ireland, and Lynch has previously worked for Beamish & Crawford, Smithwicks, and Bulmers, and been involved in the installation of Tom Creans in Dingle.

Those years of dedication to the craft are evident in the fine brews they produce. For a start, they have their pilsner-style Hugo’s Lager, Bill’s Red Ale, Balbec IPA and Abbey Stout. Their Pearl Dubh Oyster Stout is brewed with fresh Galway Bay oysters, and their Garryowen Pale Ale is based on, and brewed to, an old recipe that was used in the 1740s in one of Limerick’s oldest breweries.
